Let's welcome the DDJ 800 with large velocity- sensitive pads, the DDJ-800 is capable of triggering even the most subtle nuances of your digital tracks. A total of 8 pads are provided, including 4 on each deck, and allow you to add colour to your performances by using different sounds assigned to each pad or simply trigger popular performance functions such as Hot Cue Points or Pad FX. In addition to these features, the controller utilises an improved Pad Scratch algorithm that allows you scratch with more accuracy than ever before. As well as this, a Sound Colour FX function lets you create unique mixes with different effects applied across all 8 channels at once - a pioneer first!
The DDJ-800 boasts HID connectivity as well as MIDI. The controller can be made to work with the latest versions of Serato DJ Intro, DJ Lite and also pioneer's new rekordbox software via a dedicated licence key. The DDJ-800 features 8 channels that can all have their own effects applied simultaneously - this pioneer first offers you unprecedented control over your sets! Choose from Master EQ 2 or built-in sound effects such as Delay, Echo, Spiral and Filter for each channel individually. A separate dedicated knob on the mixer allows you to adjust the depth level of each selected effect and also has a Wet/Dry mix function which lets you turn it into an On/Off switch. You can use Sound Color FX when mixing tracks on 2 channels simultaneously or apply it to the main mix for a full sound.
With its robust aluminium jog wheel and responsive rubber touch performance pads, the DDJ-800 looks as professional as it performs. A small screen above each jog wheel gives you detailed information about your tracks; such as BPM and remaining time, so that you can keep track of your performances at all times without having to look away from the crowd. The Jog Display Sync button brings the BPM counter display in sync with the master deck's current tempo - a great feature if you're playing with another DJ using external players!
The DDJ-800 controller comes with 2 sets of looping buttons; Loop In and Loop Out. Each set can be used to record separate loops of up to 4 beats in length, or can be combined into a total 8 beat long loop.
